Community Manager - APS Unipod Stirling Center

APS Unipod Global is seeking an energetic, creative, and highly motivated Community Manager to lead the student engagement, community development, and digital communications functions at APS Unipod Stirling Center. This is one of the most dynamic and influential roles within the organisation. The Community Manager will be responsible for creating a vibrant, welcoming, and engaging residential environment where students feel connected, supported, and inspired throughout their academic journey.

The successful candidate will plan and execute year-round community program, cultural celebrations, wellness initiatives, recreational activities, networking events, and student engagement campaigns that enrich campus life and foster a strong sense of belonging. In addition, the Community Manager will oversee the Centre's social media presence, digital communications, content creation, branding initiatives, and public engagement activities, ensuring APS Unipod Stirling Center maintains a vibrant and professional image across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Community Development and Resident Engagement
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual community engagement strategy.

  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and multicultural living environment.

  • Build strong relationships with residents from diverse backgrounds.

  • Promote a positive residential culture based on respect, inclusion, and wellbeing.

  • Encourage resident participation in community activities and programmes.

  • Create initiatives that enhance the student living experience.

  • Develop programmes that strengthen friendships, networking, and peer support.

  • Continuously evaluate resident satisfaction and implement improvements.

Student Welfare and Wellbeing
  • Promote student wellbeing through recreational, educational, and wellness initiatives.

  • Identify students who may require additional support and coordinate with relevant departments.

  • Organise mental health awareness campaigns and wellbeing workshops.

  • Encourage healthy lifestyles through fitness, sports, and recreational activities.

  • Coordinate orientation programmes for newly arriving international students.

  • Provide support during periods of academic stress and examination seasons.

  • Work closely with Guest Services and Local Guardian teams to ensure holistic student care.

Events and Program Management
  • The Community Manager will lead the planning and execution of community events throughout the year, and this includes welcome weeks, freshers' orientation, cultural festivals, international festivals, sports competitions, movie nights, music and talent shows, career networking sessions, meetups, leadership workshops, volunteer programs, social gatherings, seasonal celebrations, charity events, wellness and fitness activities, educational workshops and graduation celebrations etc.

Social Media and Digital Communications
  • Manage official social media accounts.

  • Develop engaging digital content.

  • Create photography and videography for promotional use.

  • Design social media campaigns.

  • Publish regular updates and community highlights.

  • Promote Centre events across digital platforms.

  • Respond professionally to online enquiries and messages.

  • Monitor online reputation and resident feedback.

  • Coordinate with APS Headquarters on brand communications.

  • Increase digital engagement and online community growth.

Marketing and Brand Promotions
  • Promote APS Unipod Stirling Center as a leading international student residence.

  • Create promotional campaigns targeting prospective students.

  • Develop digital brochures and newsletters.

  • Coordinate student testimonials and success stories.

  • Assist with promotional videos and virtual tours.

  • Maintain consistent APS Unipod branding across all communications.

  • Support student recruitment initiatives through engaging content.

Guest Relations Support
  • Welcome new residents.

  • Conduct community orientation sessions.

  • Resolve community-related concerns.

  • Gather resident feedback.

  • Promote a positive residential atmosphere.

  • Encourage respectful community living.

Student Clubs and Leadership Development
  • Establish student ambassador programmes.

  • Develop resident leadership committees.

  • Support student clubs and interest groups.

  • Encourage volunteering and community participation.

  • Organise leadership development workshops.

  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Data and Reporting
  • Monitor community participation and engagement.

  • Maintain event attendance records.

  • Measure resident satisfaction.

  • Prepare monthly reports for management.

  • Recommend improvements based on resident feedback.

  • Track social media analytics and campaign performance.

Partnerships and External Engagements
  • Build relationships with local businesses.

  • Coordinate student discounts and partnership programmes.

  • Collaborate with universities and student societies.

  • Work with local charities and community organisations.

  • Develop sponsorship opportunities for student events.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community management, student engagement, hospitality, marketing, or events.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital communications.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in student accommodation, universities, hospitality, or youth engagement.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing, photography, videography, and graphic design.

  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools.

  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
