Compensation: £1800 per month (Gross)

General Helpers - APS Unipod Stirling Center
APS Unipod Global is seeking energetic, hardworking, and versatile General Helpers to join the Operations & Support Services Department at APS Unipod Stirling Center. The General Helper is a multi-functional support role responsible for assisting various departments across the Centre according to daily operational requirements. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the facility. General Helpers may be assigned to different departments during their shift depending on business needs, occupancy levels, events, maintenance requirements, or operational priorities.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy varied work, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to delivering outstanding support services in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Housekeeping Support
Assist the Housekeeping Department by cleaning common areas, preparing student rooms before occupancy, moving housekeeping supplies, assisting with deep cleaning projects, supporting waste collection and recycling and replenishing housekeeping materials.
Laundry Department Support
Assist the Laundry Team with sorting laundry, folding linen, packaging laundry, delivering clean linen, organising laoundry storage and assisting with commercial laundry services.
Kitchen and Food Service Department
Support the Head Chef, Sous Chefs, and Kitchen Team by preparing ingredients, washing utensils, cleaning kitchen areas, assisting in the student self-service eatery, supporting the staff mess canteen, setting up buffet stations, carrying food supplies, cleaning dining areas after service.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
Assist departmental supervisors with daily operational activities.
Support staff during busy operational periods.
Perform manual handling and general labour duties.
Assist with movement of furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Help prepare facilities for inspections, events, and student arrivals.
Ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally.
Maintenance Support
Assist the Maintenance Team by carrying tools and materials, assisting electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance staffs, setting up work areas, moving equipment's, cleaning maintenance work sites and assisting during preventive maintenance activities.
General Helpers will not perform specialised technical work but will provide logistical and operational assistance.
Guest Service Support
Support the Guest Services Department by assisting with luggage handling, helping students during check-in and check-out, delivering kits, escorting residents and visitors within the center, and assisting during orientation programs.
Community Events Support
Assist the Community Manager during student orientation programs, in-house celebrations, sports event, workshops, gatherings etc.
The responsibilities also include event setup, seating arrangements, decoration, equipment movement and post event cleanup.
Daycare Support
When assigned, assist the Daycare Team by preparing activity areas, organizing learning materials, cleaning toys and equipment's, setting up classrooms, and assisting with outdoor play supervision under direct supervision of daycare professionals.
Customer Service
General Helpers interact with students, parents, visitors, and staff regularly.
Responsibilities include greeting individuals politely, providing assistance when requested, directing visitors appropriately, maintaining professionalism and representing APS Unipod positively at all times.
Logistics and Procurement Support
Assist the Procurement Department by receiving deliveries, unloading supplies, organizing warehouse inventory, moving goods between departments, preparing internal deliveries and supporting stock taking exercises.
Outdoor Maintenance
Support outdoor operations by cleaning walkways, maintaining outdoor furniture, assisting with landscaping activities, removing litter, preparing outdoor event spaces, supporting snow or adverse weather response where applicable.
Health and Safety
Follow APS Unipod Health & Safety policies.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Use equipment safely.
Report hazards immediately.
Maintain safe working practices.
Participate in emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
Essential Qualifications
Secondary school education or equivalent.
Good spoken English.
Physically fit and capable of manual work.
Strong work ethic.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to perform a variety of duties.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, universities, student accommodation, facilities management, construction support, logistics, warehouses, or general labour.
Manual Handling Certification.
Health & Safety awareness.
First Aid awareness.
Customer service experience.
