Housekeeping Staffs - APS Unipod Stirling Center
APS Unipod Global is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Staff to join the Housekeeping Department at APS Unipod Stirling Center. The Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and overall appearance of all public areas, student accommodation units, offices, recreational spaces, dining areas, and other operational facilities. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for students, visitors, and staff.
Housekeeping Staff are expected to perform their duties with professionalism, efficiency, and respect for residents' privacy while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Student Accommodation Area Clean Up
Cleaning rooms prior to new student arrivals.
Preparing accommodation units for check-in.
Assisting with room inspections during student check-outs.
Cleaning common kitchens and shared living areas.
Sanitising shared bathroom facilities where applicable.
Reporting damages, missing items, or maintenance issues immediately.
Respecting student privacy and personal belongings at all times.
Common Facility Clean Up
Maintain cleanliness in reception and lobby areas, corridors and staircases, elevators, study rooms, community lounges, recreation rooms, dining halls, administrative offices, daycare center, laundry facility, fitness lounge, outdoor seatings, entranceways and walkways,
Ensure entire facility remain presentable throughout operational hours.
Deep Cleaning
Carpet shampooing.
Window cleaning.
High-level dusting.
Upholstery cleaning.
Kitchen deep cleaning.
Floor polishing.
Wall and ceiling cleaning.
Seasonal cleaning programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Housekeeping Operations
Perform daily cleaning of assigned areas according to established housekeeping schedules.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning materials.
Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, windows, mirrors, doors, and surfaces.
Clean and disinfect washrooms, showers, sinks, and sanitary facilities.
Empty waste bins and ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
Replenish toiletries, tissue paper, soap dispensers, and cleaning supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic environment throughout the Centre.
Linen and Room Preparation
Replace bed linen where required.
Prepare rooms for incoming residents.
Ensure beds are neatly made.
Arrange furniture according to Centre standards.
Maintain room presentation for inspections and viewings.
Waste Management
Collect and dispose of waste safely.
Separate recyclable materials according to environmental guidelines.
Handle cleaning waste responsibly.
Ensure refuse collection areas remain clean and organised.
Report overflowing waste areas promptly.
Health and Safety
Follow APS Unipod Health & Safety policies.
Operate cleaning equipment safely.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
Wear PPE when required.
Report accidents and unsafe conditions immediately.
Participate in emergency evacuation procedures and safety training.
Inventory Monitoring
Maintain housekeeping equipment in good working condition.
Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies.
Report shortages to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Handle cleaning equipment responsibly.
Store chemicals safely according to regulations.
Hygiene and Infection Control
Follow established hygiene and sanitation procedures.
Use approved cleaning chemicals safely.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Support infection prevention measures throughout the Centre.
Immediately report any health or safety hazards.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all shared spaces.
Maintenance Reporting
Plumbing leaks.
Electrical faults.
Damaged furniture.
Broken fixtures.
Lighting failures.
HVAC issues.
Safety hazards.
Structural defects.
Guest and Student Assistance
Greeting residents courteously.
Providing directions within the Centre when required.
Assisting students politely when approached.
Reporting lost and found items immediately.
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma in hospitality
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Good communication skills in English.
Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning duties.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in hotels, student accommodation, universities, hospitals, serviced apartments, or commercial facilities.
Knowledge of modern cleaning equipment and techniques.
Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
Customer service experience.
First Aid awareness.
