APS Unipod Global is seeking talented, customer-focused, and creative Salon Staff (Hair Stylist & Beauty Professional) to join the APS Unipod Salon at Stirling Center.The Salon Staff will be responsible for delivering professional haircare, grooming, and basic beauty services while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism. The successful candidate will create a welcoming and relaxing salon environment, build lasting relationships with clients, and uphold the premium service standards associated with APS Unipod.

Beauty and Personal Care Services

  • Eyebrow shaping.

  • Facial grooming.

  • Basic skincare treatments.

  • Head massage.

  • Hair nourishment treatments.

  • Basic manicure and pedicure services.

  • Grooming consultations.

  • Product recommendations suitable for different hair and skin types.

Customer Services

  • Welcome clients warmly and professionally.

  • Conduct consultations before providing services.

  • Understand customer preferences and recommend suitable treatments.

  • Ensure every client enjoys a comfortable and relaxing experience.

  • Build long-term relationships through excellent service.

  • Address customer feedback and resolve minor concerns courteously.

  • Promote a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for the multicultural APS Unipod community.

Appointment Management

  • Manage salon appointments efficiently.

  • Coordinate walk-in clients based on availability.

  • Maintain punctuality and minimise waiting times.

  • Confirm bookings and reschedule appointments when necessary.

  • Coordinate with the Guest Services Team for resident bookings.

Key Responsibilities
Hair Dressing Grooming Services

  • Haircuts for men, women, and children.

  • Hair washing and conditioning.

  • Hair styling for everyday and special occasions.

  • Beard trimming and shaping.

  • Shaving services.

  • Hair blow-drying.

  • Hair straightening and curling.

  • Hair colouring and highlighting (where qualified).

  • Scalp care treatments.

  • Hair spa and deep conditioning treatments.

  • Basic hair consultations and styling advice.

Hygiene and Cleanliness

  • Sterilising tools and equipment after every use.

  • Cleaning workstations before and after each client.

  • Sanitising chairs, mirrors, sinks, and styling stations.

  • Maintaining cleanliness of floors and waiting areas.

  • Disposing of waste safely.

  • Following infection prevention and hygiene protocols.

Product Management

  • Monitor salon inventory.

  • Maintain stock of shampoos, conditioners, styling products, towels, disposable items, and beauty supplies.

  • Report shortages to the Salon Supervisor or Accounts Manager.

  • Assist in receiving and verifying salon supplies.

  • Ensure proper storage of all products.

Student Wellbeing

  • Promote self-care and personal wellbeing.

  • Create a welcoming space where students can relax and unwind.

  • Respect the cultural diversity and personal preferences of all clients.

  • Support confidence-building through professional grooming services.

Sales and Service Promotions

  • Recommend suitable haircare and grooming products to clients.

  • Promote seasonal grooming packages and salon promotions.

  • Encourage repeat visits through outstanding customer service.

  • Assist in introducing new salon services and wellness programmes.

Documentation and Administration

  • Daily appointments.

  • Services provided.

  • Product usage.

  • Inventory levels.

  • Customer feedback.

  • Equipment maintenance requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty Therapy, or Cosmetology.

  • Minimum 2 years of professional salon experience.

  • Strong knowledge of haircare products and styling techniques.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Good spoken English.

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in premium salons, hotels, spas, or wellness centres.

  • Knowledge of multicultural hair types and grooming requirements.

  • Hair colouring certification.

  • Beauty therapy certification.

  • First Aid certification.

  • Retail sales experience.
